Overview

The School of Vocational Education, Skills and Professional Development  was established in 2017 to provide education and training services in the fields relating to modern communication and information skills at the National and Higher National Diploma levels.

Our Objectives

It is aimed at providing education and training services in fields relating to communication and information skills.

Biography: Engr. Dr. Surajo A. Musa received his Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from ATBU Bauchi-Nigeria, a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from BUK-Nigeria, and a Ph.D. in Wireless Communication and Networks Engineering, with a specialty in Radar Systems from University Putra Malaysia. He worked with Jigawa State (MoE), was Chief Lecturer at JSIIT Kazaure (Singapore Affiliates), and is currently a Chief Lecturer at Federal Polytechnic Daura, Katsina-Nigeria. Responsibilities held include Managing Editor of KAJOSTEH Journal, Director of Academic Planning, Chairman of the Procurement Committee, Deputy Director of Consultancy, and now a Dean School of Vocational Education Skills & Professional Development (SVESPD). He is a recipient of the GPB/2018/9598800 Malaysian research grant, UPM Impactful Grant (UPM/700-2/1/GPB/2018/9598800), Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) for the Fundamental Research Grant Scheme (FRGS) under project 600-RMI/FRGS 5/3 (0104/2016), and Institutional Based Research (IBR), TETFund grant. His research interests include Radar systems, GSM Resource Allocation, Signal Processing, Digital Systems Design, 5G wireless communication, Sensors, Internet of Things (IoT), Antenna Design, and Applications. Mr. Surajo A. Musa is currently a registered member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (MNSE), Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), Institute of Electrical Electronic Engineers (IEEE), Certified Network Cabling Specialist in Copper-based and Fibre Optics Cabling.
