Ismail Kayode Olaoye was born in Jos, Plateau State in the year 1968. He had his primary education at the Hope Children Nursery/Primary School, Ojo, Lagos and Sari Iganmu Primary School, Orile Iganmu, Lagos from where he proceeded to Barakat Community Secondary School, Ilorin. He graduated from the University of Lagos with a degree in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management in 1992 and he followed this with a Master of Science degree in
the same course in 1996. He rounded up his academic pursuit with a MPhil and PhD from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife and Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto respectively. His work experience spanning over 30 years covers both industry and academia. He was a pioneer Admin Officer with Association of National Accountant of Nigeria (ANAN) from 1993 to 1994
from where he was seconded to the Nigeria College of Accountancy, Jos as Administrative Secretary up to 1995. He was later a Personnel Officer at the Associated Battery Manufacturers (ABM) from 1996 to 2000 from where he moved to Fenway Courier Services as Branch Manager (Abeokuta) from 2000 to 2004 before becoming the second person employed by the Crescent University Abeokuta after the Protem-Registrar as the pioneer Admin Officer. He converted to full-fledged Academic in 2007 following the promptings of Professor Fola Lasisi. Dr. Olaoye then left the Crescent University in 2009 to join Fountain University, Osogbo from where he left to join the Federal University Dutsin-Ma in 2012 as Lecturer II. He rose to the position of Associate Professor in 2021 and subsequently proceeded on secondment to the Federal Polytechnic, Daura as a Chief Lecturer and the Dean, School of Business and Management Studies. He is happily married with children.
